Hotel Leifur Eiriksson is only a few minutes walk from the city center of Reykjavik. Located in the quiet part of the older city opposite the spectacular Hallgrims-Church. The hotel is surrounded by museums and galleries, a shopping area, various restaurants, pubs and a swimmingpool. The hotel offers 29 rooms, all neatly furnished with private bathroom sh/wc, telephone, radio and satellite TV. A complimentary buffet breakfast is served during mornings. The Hotel has 47 rooms to offer. Every room is neatly furnished, with a private bathroom, telephone, radio-clock and a TV. A continental breakfast buffet is available during mornings from 7-10 but we can serve it earlier on request. Toasted sandwiches and drinks are available from the lobby that is open 24hrs.

Completely agree with the comments below, the location (opposite the Hallgrimskirkja) means that you are completely central within the city but not on the main drag for the Icelandic rowdy nights out in the summer nights! The rooms are quite basic but adequate, clean and modern. The breakfast similarly so and the atmosphere of the hotel is so welcoming and homely, much like Reykjavik itself. We picked the hotel because we were on a bit of a budget but didn't want to resort to a hostel - we weren't disappointed at all and the hotel far exceeded our expectations.A TripAdvisor Member, Cardiff, Wales, UK
