The Viking Hotel is in the fishing town of Hafnafjordur only a short distance from Reykjavik. It is situated in the same house as the West Nordic Culture House and within a walking distance from variety ig museums, art galleries and parks.

The West Nordic Culture House is in an old forge, which has recently been renovated. It has a museum store and it serves the purpose of enhancing the cultural co-operation between the West Nordic countries, the Faroe Islands, Greenland and Iceland. It also places an emphasis on introducing the cultural inheritance of the countries. The culture house offers various operations, i.e. the exhibition and selling of various kinds of handicraft and stalls introducing each country and its people. It also has a special guest apartment at its disposal, to be used by artists working at their art, as well as exhibiting, selling and introducing their country in the handicrafthouse.
