"The Plaza Hotel is near everything, yes the disco at the weekend was a bit loud - but bearable. The hotel is new and welcoming, breakfast is a very relaxed enjoyable experience in the hotel where you meet many people off on the various day tours Iceland is famous for that can be arranged at reception, including pick up to go to the airport.

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful with local info & bus routes, recomending which of the 7 local swimming pools to visit etc. Nothing was too much trouble. On the subject of pools a very different experience is in store very clean, outdoor pools kept at a warm bath temperature with the surface steaming in the chill air - bliss.
